What personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it.

This policy explains what personal data PurseCorner (“PurseCorner”) collects when you use pursecorner.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can require us to do with it. We are the data controller for that information. You can reach us about anything in this policy at team@pursecorner.com.
The short version: we collect what we need to send you a bag and answer your questions. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
- Order details — name, email address, shipping address, any delivery notes, and what you ordered.
- Contact messages — your name, email and whatever you write to us, including repair and warranty correspondence.
- Newsletter subscription — your email address, and the date you subscribed.
- Reviews — the name and location you choose to publish, your rating and your words.
We do not ask for, and do not want, special category data — health, beliefs, biometrics and so on. Please do not send it to us.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visited, in server logs.
- Local storage — your shopping bag is stored in your own browser, not on our servers, so it survives a refresh. See our Cookie Policy.
Payment information
We do not collect or store card numbers. Card payment is being connected through a regulated payment provider; when it goes live, card details will be entered directly with that provider and we will receive only a confirmation and the last four digits.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed our interest against your rights and concluded the processing is limited to what a customer would reasonably expect from a shop. You can object at any time — see section 6.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with organisations that help us run the shop, and only with what they need:
- Shipping carriers — name, address and contact details, so they can deliver and you can track.
- Payment provider — once card payment is live, to take payment and handle refunds and chargebacks.
- Email and hosting providers — to send transactional email and serve the site.
- Accountants and tax authorities — where the law requires it.
- Professional advisers, or a buyer of the business — if we are ever sold, under the same protections you have now.
Each processor is bound by contract to use the data only on our instructions and to keep it secure. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
4. International transfers
Some of our providers operate outside your country. Where personal data leaves the UK, EEA or another region with transfer restrictions, we rely on an adequacy decision where one exists, or on Standard Contractual Clauses with appropriate supplementary safeguards. Ask us at team@pursecorner.com for details of the safeguards that apply to a particular transfer.
5. How long we keep it

6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to do any of the following. These rights apply in full to anyone in the UK or EEA under the UK GDPR and GDPR, and comparable rights apply under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act.
- Access — get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure — delete it, where we have no overriding legal reason to keep it (tax records, for example).
- Restriction — pause our use of it while a dispute is resolved.
- Portability — receive it in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — for the newsletter or a published review, at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.
- No discrimination — we will not give you worse prices or service for exercising any of these rights.
Email team@pursecorner.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not disclose your data to somebody else. Exercising these rights is free.
If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office; in the EEA, the supervisory authority where you live.
7. Marketing
We only send the newsletter to people who asked for it. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately, and we keep a minimal suppression record afterwards so that we do not accidentally re-add you. We do not run third-party advertising on this site and we do not build advertising profiles.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to order data is limited to the people who need it, protected by strong authentication, and reviewed regularly. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your rights we will tell you and the relevant authority within the statutory deadlines.
9. Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to team@pursecorner.com and we will delete it.
10. Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you by purely automated means, and we do not profile you for marketing purposes.
11. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page, and we will tell subscribers by email before any material change takes effect.
