Warranty & Repairs
Our two-year warranty against manufacturing faults, and the repair service that runs beyond it.
Last updated August 14, 2026 · Applies to pursecorner.com and every order placed through it
Every PurseCorner bag carries a 2-year warranty against manufacturing faults, from the date you receive it. Beyond that, we repair our own work for as long as we are able to — see section 5.
1. What is covered
- Stitching that comes undone where it was not damaged by an impact.
- Zips that jam, split or lose their teeth in ordinary use, and broken zip pulls.
- Hardware that fails — clasps, turn-locks, buckles, rivets, D-rings, strap clips.
- Handles or straps separating from the body at the anchor points.
- Linings that tear along a seam, and delamination of a coated canvas or nylon face.
- Edge paint lifting or cracking within the first year of normal use.
- Hardware plating flaking or corroding.
2. What is not covered
- Normal wear. Softening, slouching, darkening, patination, scuffing at corners and the pale creases waxed canvas develops. These are the materials maturing and are expected.
- Accidental damage — cuts, burns, pet damage, spills, crushing, or an overloaded bag pulled beyond its capacity.
- Water and stain damage to suede, where a protector was not applied as the care instructions ask.
- Fading from prolonged direct sunlight, or colour transfer from dark denim onto pale leather.
- Damage from third-party repairs or from cleaning products we did not recommend.
- Items bought second-hand or from anyone other than pursecorner.com. The warranty is not transferable, though we will still quote for a paid repair.
- Loss or theft.
We apply this in good faith and we err on the customer’s side. If a seam gives way after eight months we are not going to argue that you filled the bag too enthusiastically.
3. How to make a claim
- Email team@pursecorner.com with your order number and clear photographs: one of the whole bag, and two or three close-ups of the problem in good light.
- We assess and reply within 24 hours. Most claims are decided from the photographs alone — you will not be asked to post a bag anywhere while we make up our minds.
- If we need to see it, we send a prepaid shipping label. Warranty returns never cost you postage.
Keep your order confirmation email; it is your proof of purchase. If you cannot find it, we can usually locate the order from your email address.
4. What we will do
We choose the remedy, but we will always discuss it with you first. In order of preference:
- Repair. Usually the fastest and always the least wasteful. Typical turnaround is 10–15 business days plus shipping.
- Replace. Where repair is impossible or would leave the bag visibly compromised, and the item is still made.
- Refund. Where we can neither repair nor replace. Within the first 6 months, a full refund. After that we may apply a fair deduction for the use you have had, as consumer law allows.
A repaired or replaced item keeps the remainder of its original warranty, plus 90 days on the specific part we worked on.
5. Repairs outside warranty
When something is not our fault — you caught a strap on a car door, or the bag is simply twelve years old — we will still fix it. We quote before starting, we charge for parts and time only, and we will tell you honestly when a repair is not worth the money.
Common paid repairs include zip replacement, strap and handle re-stitching, hardware replacement, edge paint restoration, lining replacement and, for the Ridge, a full re-wax of the canvas — which we do at cost for as long as we make it.
Send photographs to team@pursecorner.com for a quote. Spare hardware is kept for at least 8 years after a design is discontinued, so an old bag can still be mended.
6. Care comes first
Most faults we see are avoidable. The care guide takes five minutes to read and each product page lists care specific to its material. Following it also keeps your warranty intact.
7. Your statutory rights
This warranty is a promise we make voluntarily and it is in addition to your legal rights. Consumer law in most countries gives you rights against the seller where goods are faulty, not as described, or do not last a reasonable time — often for longer than two years. Nothing in this document restricts those rights, and you may rely on them instead of this warranty whenever they give you more.
8. Questions
team@pursecorner.com — describe the problem in your own words, attach a photo, and we will take it from there.
