FAQ
Questions we get asked
If yours is not here, email team@pursecorner.com — and tell us, so we can add it.
Ordering
How do I pay?
Card payment is being connected right now. Until it is live you place the order on the site and we email a secure payment link within 24 hours. Nothing is charged when you place the order, and your items are held until you pay.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Yes, any time before it ships. Email team@pursecorner.com with your order number. After dispatch it becomes a return — still free of drama, just slower.
Do you restock sold-out items?
Usually. Regular lines come back within four to six weeks. Anything marked limited run does not — the Marisol is beaded by hand in runs of 200 and when a colour is gone, it is gone. Email us and we will tell you which it is.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Every bag ships in a cotton dust bag inside a plain recycled box, which is presentable as it is. Add a note at checkout and we will write it on a card and leave the prices off the packing slip.
Choosing a bag
Which tote fits a laptop?
What is the difference between full-grain and pebbled leather?
Both are full-grain — pebbled just means the surface has been embossed with a texture. Smooth leather looks sharper and marks more easily; pebbled hides daily knocks and is the better choice for a bag that gets put down on floors. There is no quality difference.
Is suede worth the trouble?
Only if you will spray it before wearing it and keep it out of the rain. If that sounds like a chore, buy leather — you will be happier. We would rather say so now than process a return later.
Will the colour match the photographs?
Closely, but screens vary and leather takes dye differently hide to hide. Colour is described in text on every product page for that reason. If a colour is not what you expected, that is a valid reason to return it.
Shipping & returns
When is shipping free?
On US orders over $150, and over the thresholds listed by region in the Shipping Policy.
Will I pay customs charges?
Outside the US, probably. Parcels ship duty unpaid, so your country may charge import duty and local tax on delivery. Those go to your government, not to us. We always declare the full value — we will not mark an order as a gift.
How long do I have to return something?
30 days from delivery, no reason required, sale items included. Full detail in the Returns Policy.
Can I return a bag I have used?
Trying it on and filling it to check the capacity is fine. Carrying it around for a fortnight is not — but talk to us anyway. We will either offer a partial refund or send it back to you at our cost. We will not keep both the bag and your money.
After you own it
What does the warranty cover?
Manufacturing faults for 2 years — stitching, zips, hardware, straps pulling away, linings tearing at a seam. Not accidental damage or normal wear. See Warranty & Repairs.
Will you repair a bag that is out of warranty?
Yes. We quote first, charge for parts and time only, and tell you honestly when a repair is not worth the money. We keep spare hardware for at least 8 years after a design is discontinued.
My leather has darkened. Is it faulty?
No — that is patina, and vegetable-tanned leather is meant to do it. It darkens most where your hands touch it. A bag two years old should not look like it did in the box.
How do I look after it?
Read the care guide. Five minutes twice a year prevents nearly every fault we see.
About the company
Are these copies of designer bags?
No. Every design is our own, and there is no third-party trade mark, monogram or logo anywhere on our goods. We do not make replicas and we will not take an order asking for one.
Where are the bags made?
Leather goods are cut and stitched in small workshops in Portugal and Spain; technical bags are made in Vietnam. Hides come from tanneries in Italy and Portugal. We visit every workshop we use.
Do you publish negative reviews?
All of them, as written. We remove only abuse, spam and anything identifying a third party. Three-star reviews sit on the product page next to the five-star ones.
