Description
Heavy waxed cotton canvas with bridle leather straps and solid brass buckles. The wax finish repels water and, over a couple of years, wears into pale creases along the fold lines that map exactly how you use the bag.
It takes a sixteen-inch laptop in a padded sleeve, which is unusual at this size, and the main compartment opens wide on a horseshoe zip beneath the storm flap.
The canvas can be re-waxed indefinitely. We sell the wax, and we will re-wax a Ridge for you at cost for as long as we make it.

Care
- Brush off dirt when dry; sponge stubborn marks with cold water only.
- Never machine wash, dry clean or use detergent — it strips the wax.
- Re-wax the canvas every 12–24 months, or send it to us to re-wax at cost.
- Creases and pale wear lines are the finish maturing, not damage.

Waxy at first
It transferred a very faint mark onto a pale coat in the first fortnight. Settled down after that, but hang it on a hook rather than your shoulder early on.
