A weatherproof everyday tote for people who would rather not think about the forecast. The body is a heavy cotton canvas with a matte polyurethane coating on the face, so water beads and rolls off instead of soaking in.
Leather trim at the handles and corners takes the wear that canvas would not survive. The base is double-layered and the interior is a light natural colour, which sounds cosmetic but genuinely helps you find a dark set of keys.
It is the least precious bag we make and, by volume, the one that comes back least often for repair.

Bought this specifically because I stand on an uncovered platform every morning. Water sits on the surface in beads and wipes off. The leather trim is holding up much better than the plastic-y trim on my last one.

It took about three weeks to stop feeling boardy. Now it has relaxed nicely. The natural colour does show marks more than the ink would — I would go darker if that bothers you.
