Description

Where the Aster stands to attention, the Linden slouches. Soft pebbled leather, no base board, no side stiffeners — the bag collapses politely into itself when you are carrying nothing and opens wide when you are carrying everything.

The pebbled finish is the practical choice in this line. It hides the scuffs that a smooth leather would record permanently, which matters on a bag you sling into a footwell twice a day.

A wide gusset means it opens flat enough to actually see the bottom, and the interior is a single generous volume with one zip pocket. We resisted adding more compartments. Some bags are better as a bucket.

  • Condition twice a year with a neutral, silicone-free leather cream.
  • Store upright in the enclosed cotton dust bag, loosely stuffed, away from direct sun.
  • Full-grain leather darkens and softens as it ages. That is the hide working, not a defect.

The slouch is the whole point

I wanted something that did not look like a briefcase and this is exactly it. It folds down into almost nothing in a suitcase. The pebbled leather has taken a few knocks on the subway and you genuinely cannot tell.

Wish it had one more pocket

Great bag, lovely leather, but the single zip pocket means small things sink to the bottom. I ended up buying the felt insert to go with it, which fixed it — just factor that in.
